Killer Whales, Orcas, Orcinus orca!! What ever you want to call them they’re awesome!!

Orcas seen from the speedboat after two amazing dives at Koh Bon and Koh Tachai!!

The diving is incredible this Similans season we have had plenty of sighting of manta rays and occasional whale sharks joining us for our dives!

Of course we also have days where we don’t see mantas around Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, the 1st of December 2014 was one of these days. Every one on the boat still had two great dives and were enjoying the flat seas on the journey home.  The boat started to moved off the usual course and our instructors noticed the captain had his eagle eyes on some thing in the water.

We see dolphins at the surface quite a lot so every on the boat was ready for a dolphin show…then as the boat got closer is seemed that the creature were a little bit larger than expected!

The our divers and instructors had the treat of two 5 metre Killer Whales putting on a show for them!

Killer whales have been in the media a lot recently after the release of “Black Fish” the documentary about Sea World’s Killer Whales  so this made this encounter even more special. We can see and enjoy these animals in the wild without robbing them of their freedom.

This was a once in a life time experience that no one on the boat will ever forget!!
