Manta Rays sightings becoming more and more frequent. Today, 12/12/2014, there were three Manta Rays at Koh Bon all day! Watch the video shot on a GoPro Hero 3, generously donated by one of our guests.

3 Manta Rays at Koh Bon!

This is reason enough to buy a GoPro Hero 3. Such clear footage! Make sure you set it to HD.

There was much more footage where that came from. Instructor Neil Thurfield was diving with Thomas and Stephen on our Speedboat Daytrip to Koh Bon. They had two separate hour long dives and the Manta Rays were there almost the entire time. Maybe you guys will need to come back again to see what other marine life Koh Bon has to offer. I think you had a few distractions today.

Koh Bon

Koh Bon is famous as a Manta Ray cleaning station. It is probably the best dive site in Thailand for spotting Manta Rays. You can see them quite clearly hovering over the big coral bommie. As long as you DON’T CHASE THEM, you can get pretty close and see how inquisitive they can be. This is a really memorable experience and today is proof of how good conditions are right now.
