Trip 17 has returned to land after 4 days of amazing diving, pleasant camaraderie and excellent weather. When Dave finally arrived (classic Dave) we headed out to the Similan Islands with bellies full of Anne’s delicious Penang and an air of anticipation.
Day 1 kicked off with a solid check dive at West of Eden—nice and calm overall, with a bit of chop in the channel just to remind everyone they’re on a boat. Hideaway Bay followed with a mellow wreck/drift and an octopus cameo
What a brilliant few days we’ve just had on board Blue Dolphin! Our 3–7 February liveaboard delivered the goods from start to finish, with fantastic conditions across the marine parks both above and below the surface.
Back to land after 4 days of top-class diving, plenty of laughs, and the sort of surface conditions that make you wonder why we ever go back to land. Dinner set the tone nicely: Penang gai with a full supporting cast and a general sense that everyone was already winning.
