Similan Liveaboard Trip 08

Trip 08 is back from the Similan and Surin Islands. For me an absolute pleasure, and nice to be back on the boat and in the water. I hope the whole group enjoyed it as much as everyone seemed too. A few stand out moments both above and below the water.

Multiple species of rays on a number of dives and shark sightings in The Similan’s certainly added to a boat that already had a great buzz to it.

I think most of us would have said the dive at Christmas Point or Koh Bon Pinnacle was the one, but then our little manta encounter at Koh Bon on our last dive was a strong competitor.

Above the surface, a first liveaboard for some and a first manta for most guests, as well as a few milestone dives. I think it would be ill of me not to mention our friend Kurt’s last dive at Richelieu too, 50 or so years of diving and finished off with style at Richelieu. Congratulations Kurt, we are chuffed to have shared this moment with you.
