About Sam
Originally from Cornwall in southwest England. Sam grew up surrounded by the rugged coastline, rolling surf, and chilly waters of Cornwall. This clearly shaped his early connection to the ocean and after plenty of cold water teaching and diving, his diving journey later took him to Koh Tao. He spent several years here —some of them with Big Blue Koh Tao and the Tech team—teaching recreational courses and developing his expertise in technical diving. In 2024, Sam joined Big Blue Diving Khao Lak, quickly becoming a valued and integral part of the team.
