Similan Liveaboard Trip BB2634
What a way to finish the season…
Trip BB2634 aboard MV Blue Dolphin is officially complete, and WOW… the “last trip vibes” were absolutely real 😂💙
Firstly, a HUGE thank you to every single guest who joined us for our final adventure of the season. What an incredible group of divers, ocean lovers, sunset watchers, dolphin spotters, storm survivors, and all-round legends. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to close things out. I think i can talk for everyone, when i say it was all round a fantastic trip.
The diving across both the Similan and Surin National Parks was simply spectacular. Crystal clear water, colourful reefs bursting with life, cruising turtles, endless schools of fish, and of course… the moment everyone will remember forever… a GIANT MANTA RAY!
These gentle giants are truly one of the ocean’s most magical creatures. Growing up to 7 metres in disc width, manta rays glide effortlessly through the water with slow, graceful wing-like movements that almost look like they’re flying underwater. Curious, intelligent, and completely peaceful, every manta encounter feels rare, emotional, and unforgettable.
As if that wasn’t enough… We were also surrounded by a HUGE pod of dolphins! And honestly… we think they may have been partying with pufferfish 😂 We spotted several very puffed-up puffers and some extremely playful, very happy-looking dolphins bouncing around the boat. Marine biologists have long observed dolphins interacting with pufferfish in strange playful behaviour, and whether that’s what we witnessed or not… It was absolutely hilarious and unforgettable to watch.
Then, just when we thought the trip couldn’t get any more special, on the journey home we encountered what we believe was an Omura’s Whale! (Eve’s call as it has a one sided white spotted mouth)
Omura’s whales are one of the ocean’s rarest and most mysterious whale species. Only officially recognised as a distinct species in 2003, they are incredibly elusive and rarely seen. Sleek, streamlined, and graceful, they often travel quietly through warm tropical waters, making every sighting feel incredibly special and lucky.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Andaman Sea adventure without some dramatic weather too! We had perfect sunny days, epic sunsets, calm seas… and a few completely biblical storms thrown in for good measure 🌩️😂 But through it all, the Blue Dolphin Team did what they always do best — keeping everything safe, relaxed, fun, and full of smiles. That’s exactly why we love what we do so much.
To all our guests — thank you for trusting us with your holiday, your diving, and your memories. We truly hope we gave you an unforgettable adventure and a lifetime of happy moments to take home with you.
And finally… a little reminder from us! Starting 1st June 2026 there will sadly be a small price increase across our trips (mainly due to Trump apparently 😂). BUT… if any guests from this trip would like to join us again next season, get in touch before then and we’ll happily honour this year’s prices for you 💙
Thank you again for joining us on our final trip of the season aboard MV Blue Dolphin. We already miss being out there.
Hopefully see you all again very soon!
Boots & the Entire Big Blue Team 💙
