About Eve
Eve hales from Leicester, the most landlocked place in the UK. Despite this locational disadvantage, Eve is the founder and driving force behind Andaman Turtle Watch, a grassroots conservation initiative dedicated to protecting and monitoring sea turtles along Thailand’s Andaman coast. With a deep passion for marine life and a keen eye for detail, Eve has combined community engagement, citizen science, and field research to build a growing database that tracks individual turtles through photographic identification.
Working with Eve
Eve believes conservation is strongest when science meets storytelling. Through Andaman Turtle Watch, she’s created a bridge between the data-driven world of marine biology and the human connection that comes from meeting “Tula” or “Anakin” face to face in the water.
Her work is as much about protecting turtles as it is about fostering a community that values and defends the incredible biodiversity of the Andaman Sea.
Whether she’s collaborating with researchers, or sharing the stories of these remarkable creatures, Eve’s mission remains the same: to ensure that sea turtles not only survive but thrive for generations to come.
