Similan Liveaboard Trip 007
Our Similan liveaboard Trip 7 was a bit of a Similan classic. Super viz, gentle currents and plenty of life from the get go. Koh Bon and Koh Tachai being the highlights of the Similan part of our tour. The Batfish schools at the later mentioned sites were really inquisitive, but the highlight for me was the schooling barracuda.
Surin Islands offered us some cover from a fairly windy evening, and Aow Pakkad was a great gentle way to start the day, with a few of us lucky enough to spot a juvenile guitar shark, only around 80cms in length, in perfect condition with light coloured edge to the pectoral fins, glided along the reef edge before making its way of into the deeper water.

Richelieu Rock, was obviously quite green and murky, however it always provides us with plenty of fish life, and beautiful underwater scenes of moving glass fish and hunting action from the larger predators around the site. The packs of trevally, emperor fish and rainbow runners seem to be growing in number and size week on week.
Our last morning the bay, ridge and the pinnacle at Koh Bon were all in fine form and felt like a really nice way to finish what was a great trip.
So all that’s left to say is a massive thank you to you all for joining and we hope to see you all again at some point soon.
