Trip BB2509 Similan Islands

Our early-December adventure aboard MV Blue Dolphin delivered exactly what we love about high season in the Andaman Sea: returning flat seas, bright skies, and that unmistakable holiday-season sparkle. Of course, the lurking full moon kept things interesting, stirring up some lively currents that added a dash of excitement to the dives and ensured nobody got too comfortable!

From the moment everyone stepped on board, it was clear we had a fantastic group. The vibe was easy, fun, and full of good humour and the occasional cheeky innuendo during surface intervals, and then plenty of laughs around the dinner with a beer or 2.

It didn’t take long for the boat to feel more like a floating family holiday.

Underwater, the conditions were classic Blue Dolphin magic: long, relaxed dives with great visibility, thriving marine life, and those sweeping topographies that make the Similans and Surin Islands such an unforgettable playground.

And as if the days weren’t stunning enough, each evening treated us to nature’s own masterpiece—glassy, calm sunset cruises with the sky doing its best impression of a watercolour painting. 

Cameras clicked. People sighed. Cold drinks appeared. Life was good.
