Similan Liveaboard Trip 021
Trip 021 has returned to land and what a fantastic time we had with lovely conditions both above and below the surface, some epic dives on all our favourite sites and the return of some old friends, some OG Big Blue crew coming back for another taste of Andaman action.
Arrival day was smooth if not a little warm but as we left the pier and got some sea breeze, our boat of experienced divers was full of anticipation :P
Day One in the Similans was a great start to the trip with sightings of three white tip sharks, two turtles and some octopi, and a visit to Elephant Head Rock topping the dives of the day.
Christmas Point on the morning of day two was a lovely dive with a monster of a sea snake hanging around, some groups seeing more white tips, and nice bimble along the reef of Island Nine to end up the dive. Koh Bon gave us some excellent visibility, and lots of nudibranchs, before we headed off to Tachai for a currenty first dive, but lots of hunting action, and a much more relaxed second dive allowing us to spend the end of day two over the top of the dome watching the hunting fish do their thing.
Moving in to day three after a super relaxed splash on Aow Pakkad, we headed out to Richelieu Rock for three dives featuring the lovely seahorse, and some ornate ghost pipefish among the usual fishy carnage. After an epic sunset we headed back to Bon for our last two dives.
Two splashes at Koh Bon with some lovely conditions rounded off an excellent trip, with a very relaxing drift along the north side and a super playful octopus well spotted by Keith, and some cool barracuda action to boot.
And with that we headed back to Thap Lamu after a fantastic trip, great vibes on the boat, great food, wonderful diving and excellent customers.
Congratulations to the new Advanced and Nitrox Divers on the boat, keep diving and keep in touch with us we love to hear about your diving adventures.
Thanks to our fantastic crew for making it all happen and finally thanks to you our lovely customers, I was genuinely a pleasure to lead this trip :)”
