Similan Liveaboard Trip Trip 012

Day One

West of Eden started our trip strongly, probably the fishiest we’ve seen this year.

We decided on a slight change to our normal Similan route and headed south to Boulder City for dive two. Beautiful conditions and a gentle current on the outer rocks made for a great dive, with some groups spotting a few white tips off deep. In the afternoon we headed north to Island Nine with Three Trees again being in fine form, plenty of life and the huge school of barracudas seems to be getting bigger and bigger each trip we see them.

Day Two

Diving was a bit more of a challenge with Koh Bon and Tachai providing some currents and more sea conditions to contend with, however they did both reward with some great underwater action.

Day Three

A gentle start to the day at Aow Pakkad and then shall we say a much less gentle day out at Richelieu. Long swells such as that are a very rare occurrence out here. But credit to everyone, you all took on board the instructions given and i would say the sunset dive was probably the dive of the trip in terms of underwater life and action.

Day Four

Koh Bon Pinnacle

for dive one is always a pleasure. Plenty of life and a lot less people due to the depth, and I think the dive was enjoyed by everyone. Our last dive we chose the opposite side of the bay and hung over the wall. Definitely felt like the fish were on edge over there, possibly something big around or could have been the water movements or the boat noise from the bay, however diving over the corner was a great way to end our trip.

So last but not least, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope to see you all again soon in the future.

Congrats to Timo and Lan on your SSI Advanced Adventurer certs, you both smashed it.

And a big thanks to Chris and Mayu for the turtle photos. I’ll keep you posted, if we can name yet another Similan Turtle.
