Similan Liveaboard Trip 009
Yay the flat seas return.
Day One, beautiful vis, gentle currents, and plenty of life on all the dives. West of Eden continues to provide a great start to our trips, hunting trevelly’s being the star of the show.
Tuna wreck was visible from the surface and then the reef covered in glass fish looked really beautiful in the morning light. Three trees was a nice little drift up to North Point, Kuhl’s stringrays in the sand and schooling barracudas towards the end of the dive at the surface, our third dive of the day was packed with life.
Very few boats out here this trip including day trips meant a private beach visit for us at Donald Duck Bay and for those who made it to the view point.
North point was a great start to the day, the vis was approaching 40m and being able to see all the channels and out into the blue, lines of yellow back fusiliers patrolling the top the pinnacles made for a colourful start to our day.
Koh Tachai gave us a bit of a swim test, but as always plenty of life on the dome making for an exciting end to the day.
Aow Pakkad was stunning, Kuhl’s rays in the sand and the reef itself was very busy with lots of life going about their daily fish life. I could have watched them all morning just floating around. Super pretty.
Richelieu is continuing to improve this year, with the vis getting better and better week on week and the packs of hunting fish seemingly growing in size also. Bad place to be a bait fish that’s for sure. Our 4th dive of the day was truly a spectacle of hunting and almost orchestral movement in the sun shimmers below the surface.
Thank you all for joining us, we wish you happy bubbles for all your future dives and hope to see you again soon.
Boots and the Blue Dolphin Crew.
