Similan Liveaboard Trip 003

YAYYYYY, finally some flat seas and calm weather. Day one was turtle-tastic, seeing and being able to ID our hardshell friends via Andaman Turtle Watch. Gracie, named by Alex on the last trip came to say hi, and we think at least another 2 individuals that day, however we are waiting for confirmation.

Day 2,

great dives as we made our way up the coast, juvenile white tips at Koh Bon, seen to be very active and the dome of Koh Tachai gave us a few slightly more lively dives, with plenty for everyone to see.

Day 3,

Ao Pakkad was a very pleasant start to the day, there was plenty of life on the reef.

Sadly though we noticed a lot of crown of thorns, we took videos and sent them to the dmcr. We have had a response and will update any action.

Richelieu Rock was in fine form for all our dives, proving once again why it’s widely considered to be one of the best dive sites around. Hearing everyone recount their dive stories on the boat is always a great way to start the evening cruise back to Koh Bon, sharing a couple of drinks along the way. The highlight for me obviously was the manta sighting, but even without that, what a day’s diving we had.

Day 4,

Koh Bon Pinnacle was a nice way to start the day, a little more of a challenge, however one that we think is worth it with the right divers. Richelieu is a tough act to follow but the pinnacle was also in decent form, and then our final dive, a bit more of a gentle cruise across the bay.

It was honestly a pleasure to have all you guys on board, we really hope you all come back and dive with us again. Keep in touch…
