Similan Liveaboard Trip 18

Trip 19 has returned and what a great few days of diving with a lovely crowd of guests from all over the world joining us in the Similan and Surin Marine parks.

Conditions proved to be much better than previous weeks with visibility returning to the levels we expect of diving the Andaman sea.

Day 1 included a nice easy dive over West of Eden and a visit from a Hawksbill Turtle while diving and a visit from our regular friend the green turtle at the Blue Dolphin. Roslyn celebrated her 100th dive at Three Trees (congratulations) and Aow Namchai was a super chill dive to top off the day.

Christmas Point presented some very challenging conditions but the Juvenile Sweetlips took the trophy there. A quick dip at Koh Bon then up to Tachai which was absolutely stunning with sightings of many hunting fish and some awesome scenes.

A dive at Aow Pakkad started off day 3 gently – most groups saw the Super-sized Great Barracuda and a Napoleon Wrasse to boot, then Richeulieu gave us all her glory with excellent vis and all the fish your brain can process.

We had to “haul it” to get on to Koh Bon Pinnacle and down to the Marble Rays’ favourite hang out spot but it was worth every kick with 4 marble rays hovering around. This was also Tara’s 200th dive- congratulations!

Thanks to all who joined us we had a wonderful time and we hope you did too. Keep diving and we hope to see you again soon!
