Similan Liveaboard Trip 15
Trip 15, completed!!
Trip 15 marks almost the half way point for us, and it feels like low season is sneaking up on us fast. The Similan’s are still treating us to some great visibility and plenty of life. Day One offered a bit of current to liven things up a bit, but you guys all rocked it, and the mood on the boat seemed pretty good all round. Shark sightings on several of the dives including a large leopard shark at Three Trees, gave us a bit of hope heading north, for some cracking diving to come.
Day 2
Day two Started really well, Christmas Point once again making my current predictions look silly, but that was soon forgotten about with shark sightings out at the point. A Guitar shark in the morning is always a great start to any day. I think we would probably agree the high light for us was Koh Tachai. A playful manta encounter to say the least. I am currently going over the ID database in mantamatcher.org to see if we have previously seen her. It takes some time but I will let you all know as soon as I have completed it.
Days 3 & 4
Richelieu while being a bit merky, is always super fishy and was lovely in the top 10m at least. Our evening cruise back to Koh Bon, was a real laugh.. perhaps some things best left unsaid (ALEX)! Our final day and I’m pretty sure we all loved that dive on the pinnacle. Blotched fantail rays are so beautiful to watch, especially when they are circling the pinnacle like that.
Just to finish…
Well done to Janette, Matthjis and Alice for completing their Eanx diver course and additional congrats to Alice on her SSI ADV too. Smashed it guys.
Staff wise, Alex was rated at his highest performance for the season “alright”, so well done to Alex to.
